LJ-1000 Apple Variety (20150018, Dr. Bedford)

Technology No. 20150018

Explosively Crisp!

The Honeycrisp Apple, sold in Europe and other regions as the Honeycrunch® Apple, is one of the University of Minnesota's best-known apples. They are widely grown around the world. Millions have been enjoyed by people who love the well-balanced sweet-tart taste and explosively crisp, juicy texture.

The LJ-1000 variety is a redder strain of Honeycrisp that retains the original variety’s superior eating quality and storage properties. Trees of LJ-1000 are very similar in growth habit to the original Honeycrisp strain but produce attractive, more highly colored fruit with a firm texture and high sugar levels. See US PP22,244 for a full variety description.
