Hamster CD4 and CD8 antibodies
Monoclonal antibodies against Syrian golden hamster CD4 and CD8
Applications
- FACS
- Western Blot
Technology Overview
The Syrian golden hamster (Mesocricetus auratus) has been used as a model organism for various diseases including adenovirus, hookwork, treponema, and Lyme disease. Currently, there are very limited options for antibodies targeting CD4 in hamsters and no commercially available antibodies targeting CD8 in hamsters. Researchers at the University of Minnesota have developed anti-hamster CD4 and CD8 monoclonal antibodies to facilitate immunological research. These antibodies have been demonstrated for use in flow cytometry and western blot analysis. These studies indicated that the mAbs work under both denatured and non-denatured conditions. Additionally, these mAbs display no cross-reactivity with mouse antigens.
