Synthetic Tissue for Medical Analogue Model
Synthetic tissue created from a cost effective organosilicate gel can be used to construct human organ simulators. The synthetic tissue is cross-checked with the Center for Research in Education and Simulation (CREST) human tissue database for physiological accuracy. The organ model is based on a patient specific life casting mold and uses two layers of the synthetic tissue which allows a fluorescent clear coat color to be painted in reference lines to mark the tissue for measurement after dissection, cutting, tearing, or needle driving. This paint is not visible in normal conditions but can be viewed under a black light. The simulated organ is injectable and can hold liquids.
